The Getaway Bag

The Getaway bag and Sidekick have been a game changer for my family. The Getaway is so thoughtfully designed and perfect for busy families on-the-go. Unlike other bags I’ve purchased, each compartment of the Getaway bag is functional and perfectly sized (versus other bags where the compartments/pockets are either too big/too small or not easily accessible). The multiple access points to the main compartment have been a lifesaver at various points when I needed to frantically grab a toy or snack for my fussy toddler. I was surprised by how much I was able to fit in the bag without it feeling bulky. On top of all this, I use the Sidekick on a daily basis to run errands or for walks around the neighborhood. It’s perfect for everything I need for myself and my toddler for a few hours (diaper, wipes, cell phone, wallet, snack). Traveling and day-to-day with a kid have become so much easier thanks to the Getaway and Sidekick!

This bag has become one of my favorite purchases to survive parenthood! Being able to grab just the Sidekick to change a diaper and using it was a fanny pack, leaving my hands free and not having to bring the entire bag into the restroom stall, priceless! I keep my keys and wallet on the top for easy access, even in a drive through. The ability to side load and see easily everything I need instead of having to rummage is my husband's favorite feature. Great design and will enjoy this bag for years due to its great construction.

The Getaway Bag exceeded our expectations. It has tons of functionality, it's sleek, and it's made of high quality materials. We find it very useful as an all-in-one bag for our toddler for daily excursions in the city, for flights, as well as for weekend trips. We love the attention to detail with all of the different pockets and pouches, many of which are customizable. We also love using the Sidekick, either in conjunction with or separate from the Getaway Bag. Finally, someone built a better mousetrap for a baby bag! Thanks!

The Getaway Bag is simply the best baby/toddler bag I’ve ever used. Previously we were using a backpack that had lots of compartments that I was pretty happy with, but The Getaway Bag knocked it out of the park. One of the best things about the bag is how thoughtfully designed it is. For example before, I had a wet/dry bag with spare clothes in my backpack but The Getaway Bag has a built in separate compartment where I can keep clean clothes and then contain any messed clothes. The Bag is so spacious and can hold so much, but is surprisingly lightweight. As a 5’1 mom, I can comfortably carry this bag even when it’s full. I love how things can be kept separate but are easily accessible from the many access points and zippers. I can’t recommend this bag enough!

Perfect travel companion! First of all, my kids are older and no longer need diaper changes, etc but that said, I’ve used the Getaway Bag on several business and personal trips. It’s has worked well for me for a few reasons:

- It has more capacity than my regular non-travel backpack so it’s great for travel. I HATE putting my clothing on those filthy airport security trays so I stuff my outerwear, sweaters, etc. right in the main compartment of the bag

- There is a zippered compartment at the top of the main flap/cover and I use that when I empty my pockets before clearing security. 2 phones (work and personal), wallet, headphones, passport, boarding pass, watch, belt, etc. all go into the top zippered compartment. Really easy to access that compartment which is key.

- Good protection for a 13” laptop with direct access from the back. Mine has a great, secure fit but if you have a huge laptop it might be tight.

- Comfortable and a good size for me (has good capacity but you don’t look like a “backpacker” with a huge bag either)
